Our clients came to us with a vision of creating a kitchen that would match the style of their downtown Plymouth, 1925 Arts & Crafts style home. They gave us full control of the design for their kitchen with one request; a brick floor in the breakfast nook. Using quarter-sawn white oak with a custom stain and walnut plugs in the corners, we created a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired door with the custom, Michigan-made Bakes & Kropp Fine Cabinetry line.
Along with the door style, we custom-designed the range hood with hammered copper and walnut accents. We also milled all the moldings to match the home’s existing sapwood moldings, and finished off the kitchen with handmade tiles from Motawi Tileworks, as well as the brick floor in the breakfast nook, as requested by the homeowners. Now, our clients have exactly what they envisioned — a kitchen that reflects the personality of their family and their home.
