Sometimes the simplest elements can have the biggest impact. In our latest completed project, our clients sought a contemporary style kitchen with distinctive design elements for their new construction home in downtown Plymouth. White slab-front cabinets from our custom Sharer Cabinetry line wrap around the perimeter of the room, creating a theme of symmetry and clean lines. The perimeter cabinets are topped with a light gray quartz counter top that enhances the purposefully simplistic attitude of the cabinetry. Wide drawer pulls in brushed nickel mimic the horizontal lines found throughout the kitchen. A 48” stainless steel chef’s range and hood add function to the contemporary form. The custom center island features a distinctive kerf design element, with long horizontal lines that define and continue the room’s theme.
The custom gray-blue paint offers a pop of color and additional dimension. A custom Sharer Wood Counter Top in natural maple provides a perfect rustic contrast, as well as functional space for prepping and entertaining. Open shelving on the perimeter walls using the same natural maple continues the minimalist theme and keeps the room feeling airy and open. Our clients are now enjoying being in their new home and are thrilled with the subtle distinctiveness of their contemporary kitchen.
